The large resort of Alpe d’Huez, roughly triangular in shape, is situated on a gently sloping sunny plateau at 1860 m. The resort is based on a series of “quartiers” of which the main three are Quartier des Bergers to the east, Quartier des Jeux in the centre and Quartier des Vieil Alpe to the west. Hotel Pic Blanc is a 4-star hotel located in the Bergers area of the resort. Its impressive interior is a nice place to relax and unwind and there are some great views over the surrounding area. Half board is available and offers a continental breakfast (with hot options) and 4-course evening meals.
The amenities are impressive and include an indoor swimming pool in addition to a spa, sauna and whirlpool.
Hotel MMV Club Les Bergers is a good value for money choice in Alpe d’Huez given its easy access to the slopes and the of going full board.
The full board options provide three daily meals each buffet based and including a wide selection of quality choices.
This 3-star hotel also enjoys a sunny piste-side terrace which is an ideal way to start apres-ski.
Hotel Les Grandes Rousses is a 4-star hotel that has undergone a recent room refurbishment. This has created a relaxed mountain ambience with superb views over the resort making it highly recommended accommodaton in Alpe d’Huez.
The location of the hotel is excellent and provides ski in – ski out for residents via the drag lift immediately adjacent and the ski lift opposite which delivers residents to the Rond Point des Piste.
High quality meals are taken in the panoramic restaurant.
Chalet La Breche is a 4-star plus chalet which is very conveniently located next to the Telecentre lift in addition to a good choice of shops and bars. It’s built in the Scandanavian style with a light and modern interior design.
Facilities include two infra-red saunas located on the lower ground floor with a table tennis table and hot-tub outside on the terrace. The ideal way to recover from a day on the slopes.
Hotel Daria-I Nor provides 5-star luxury accommodation located in the Eclose area of the resort. This new hotel was completed for the 2019 season and provides easy access to the ski lifts in Les Bergers.
Amenities include a spa with two swimming pools, two saunas, whirlpool, a salt wall in addition to a solarium. There are two dining areas with the hotel, the Daria-I restaurant and the gourmet restaurant which requires an upgrade.
Hotel Le Royal Ours Blanc is a 4-star modern hotel that has been designed in an unorthodox fashion both from an exterior and interior perspective. It’s location, right at the centre of the resort within the Jeux area, makes for easy access to bars, shops and restaurants.
The wide range of facilities includes a sun terrace and Spa (with pool and sauna). There is also a restaurant, bar and lounge.
Les Bergers Apartments are rated as 4-star accommodation with a design based on that of traditional wood and stone. The location is excellent with ski-in/out access of just 100 m to the nearest lift and Les Bergers shopping centre just beyond.
A great facility is the heated outdoor swimming pool with mountain views which is an ideal way to banish any aches and pains after a long day on the slopes.
Le Cristal de l’Alpe Apartments are situated in the Quartier Les Jeux which gives easy centralised access for visitors to the rest of Alpe d’Huez.
This is a 4-star residence and boasts substantial facilities for relaxation and recuperation. These include a large indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, whirlpool and spa. The stylish rooms each have their own balcony with mountain views.
